I wonder - is this an auspicious day to start a blog??? At least it's not Friday.
I'm starting this blog for the benefit of myself and my bereft readers. I used to write a weekly column called 'In the Garden' for a weekly paper 'The Shetland Times'. The column was axed last September and I've been inundated with requests from my readers to continue.
Of late, as spring has started to spring, I've had a lot of phone calls from readers and, rather than answering every individual question and query, I thought a blog would be a good idea.
Apologies to all those not (yet?) on the net, and I know there are many. I'll think of something for them in the near future.
